THE SPACE
Welcome to Portland! This brand new daylight basement apartment with modern cabin flair was built in an 1884 Victorian home located in the historic Lair Hill neighborhood within walking distance from downtown. This bright and cozy apartment includes all the furnishings and comforts of home including a brand new Park Lane high-end mattress, plush robes and slippers, a pull out couch, cable, and high speed Internet. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots and pans, tableware, a French press coffee maker, and almost anything you might need to prepare a home cooked meal while you are away from home. The bathroom makes us want to move in and trade our claw foot tub for the large carrera marble walk in shower with a rain head fixture- luxury! All linens and towels are provided. Need to do laundry? This apartment also includes a full sized washer and dryer located in the bedroom closet. After a hectic day- relax in the serine shared backyard space on your private brick patio and listen to the bubbling pond with tiny frogs and lily pads or build a fire in the fire pit and enjoy the greenery of the adjacent community garden. We truly hope to provide a wonderful home away from home experience during your stay to Portland!

GUEST ACCESS:
Guest Apartment entry is completely separate from main house. Enter through a small gate and down a path into the backyard where you will find the apartments private brick patio and yellow front door.

INTERACTION WITH GUESTS
We live upstairs and are here when you need us! Need one more egg for that batch of cookies you are cooking, recommendations for great hikes, drives, or restaurants? Feel free to send us a text- otherwise we will respect your privacy and will otherwise be hands off hosts. Don’t mind Cello- our friendly fur kid- you will see him periodically throughout the day looking for squirrels in the backyard and accompanying us while we tidy and water the yard. Please note that while the apartment has been soundproofed with the patented high performing ‘quiet rock’, do expect to hear slight sounds of life from upstairs. We will try our best to be quiet respectful neighbors.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD:
Lair Hill is centrally located and blocks away from Downtown Portland, OHSU, PSU, and the South Waterfront. Take a stroll to the quaint Lair Hill Park a couple blocks away or follow a hiking trail through the west hills. Don’t feel like cooking? There are many restaurants and café’s within walking distance including: Caro Amico’s Italian food, (directly across the street from house), Lair Hill Café, Lovejoy Bakery, Pizzicato, Green Leaf Juice, Cha, Cha, Cha Mexican Restaurant, and don’t forget to try an authentic Portland food cart experience located within walking distance in the South Waterfront!

GETTING AROUND:
There are 10 bus lines within ¼ mile of the house and the MAX light rail is less then a mile away.

• Housekeeping- while daily housekeeping is not included in the rental of this apartment, house cleaning can be arranged at additional cost
• Property- this apartment was lovingly curated with treasures from around the world. Please treat it with respect as if it were your own home. Missing or damaged items will be deducted from deposit, or charged in addition to deposit.
