Furnished NEW Modern Home with Shared Private PLAYGROUND in BEST Neighborhood

Our family is leaving to travel during the school year from September 2019 through June 2020. We are looking for a good fit for our spacious, crisp, and incredibly comfortable home while we are gone. We live in one of the most remarkable communities in Portland, where 19 new homes share a 1000 sq ft private backyard space, with a play structure, common green and gardens. We each still having our own yards, and live in a charming old and bustling neighborhood of the city, full of big trees and an easy walk to just about everything.

We are in one of the best school districts (Abernethy/Hosford/Cleveland) and have a school bus that stops a block away. The neighbors are outstanding, with a soccer game going just about every pleasant evening, if you are feeling social, and an egg or cup of sugar to loan at any given moment. Anyone, especially with children, will be blown away at the symbiosis and ease (amidst privacy whenever desired), that is happening in this idyllic little community. We welcome you to drop in and enjoy it! Of the 19 homes, about 2/3 have children.

This ~2700 sq foot home was built in 2015. Everything works beautifully! There are 3 bedrooms upstairs. The master suite has a large bathroom with a double-header shower, two walk-in closets, and a private balcony with an infrared 4-person sauna on it. The main level has a large kitchen, hang out nook, dining room and living room with gas fireplace and big TV. The front porch has couches and a gas fire pit. The back deck has a BBQ, dining area patio, little yard and hot tub. There is a one-car garage that we use as a workout room with some weights, TRX straps, pull up bar, sand bags, bike trainer stand and a rowing machine. There is a alexa controlled TV here. There is a driveway, with a basketball hoop and swing.

We will be moving all of our clothes and books (unless you want to borrow them!) and such out, but will be leaving all furnishings, bedding, cooking gear, plants, etc. Things like Christmas decorations, sewing machine, art supplies, games, toys and the like are all negotiable to leave for your use as well.

This address has a walk score of 85, a transit score of 52 and a bike score of 100! It’s true, we are nestled in some of the best bike corridors in town. We may even have some bikes you could borrow while you are here. It takes 15 min to bike downtown, or to the OHSU tram, and about 25 to get to the Pearl district. Biking is generally as fast, if not faster, than driving.

We strongly prefer to rent for this exact period from mid-Sept through mid-June, but you are welcome to submit inquiries of other ideas.

There is also a 1 bedroom rental unit apartment that is at the garage level. We plan to keep that separate as we may need it from time to time to stop back into. We may also rent it out occasionally. This apartment can also come in handy for you to rent if you have guests in town.
