Welcome to Portland! This stunning 1884 Victorian home is located in the historic Lair Hill neighborhood within walking distance from downtown and the South Waterfront, truly right the middle of it all. 10 minute drive to anywhere in the city. True to the era, there is no garage, or driveway, there is ample street parking within the neighborhood. We spent 5 years renovating the space and doing our utmost to preserve the character while at the same time bringing the house up to date with modern conveniences including Air-conditioning, tankless hot water heater, high end Kitchen Aid appliances, and new plumbing and electrical throughout. This bright and comfortable home includes all the furnishings and comforts of home including 3 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, cable, and high speed Internet. The kitchen is fully stocked with almost anything you might need to prepare a home cooked meal while you are away from home including GreenLife ceramic pots and pans, tableware, Chemex coffee maker, Ninja Blender, etc. There you will also find a full sized Electrolux Washer and Dryer. The freshly remodeled bathroom highlightes the original claw foot tub with modern carerra marble floor, and double sink vanity. All linens and towels are provided. After a hectic day- relax in the serene shared backyard space on your private deck or build a fire in the fire pit and enjoy the greenery of the adjacent community garden. We truly hope to provide a wonderful home away from home experience during your stay to Portland!
The house is attached to a Guest Apartment in the basement, (also available to rent through CHBO separately). The Guest Apartment entry is completely separate from main house and is entered through a small gate and down a path. The backyard is shared between both units, along with a trash/ recycling area. During construction, much thought and consideration was taken in soundproofing between the units utilizing the patented 'Quiet Rock' product. Though no sound transference can be noticed from the upstairs unit- we kindly ask upstairs guests to be mindful of taking off shoes, children running, loud music etc as a courtesy to your downstairs neighbors. Thank you!

Lair Hill is centrally located and blocks away from Downtown Portland, OHSU, PSU, and the South Waterfront. Take a stroll to the quaint Lair Hill Park a couple blocks away or follow a hiking trail through the west hills. Don’t feel like cooking? There are many restaurants and café’s within walking distance including: Caro Amico’s Italian food, (directly across the street from house), Lair Hill Café, Pizzicato, Green Leaf Juice, Cha, Cha, Cha Mexican Restaurant and many more.
There are 10 bus lines within ¼ mile of the house and the MAX light rail is less then a mile away.

• Housekeeping- as a protection for our investment we require professional monthly cleaning. We schedule the cleaning, the rate is $150 per cleaning on top of the rental rate.
• Property- this home was lovingly curated with treasures from around the world. Please treat it with respect as if it were your own home. Missing or damaged items will be deducted from deposit, or charged in addition to deposit.
