The experience is similar to living on a luxury yacht. Step from your house onto a floating deck where ducks, seagulls and geese swim by. See our reviews. Two couples who rented our home loved the life and community so much, one couple bought a floating home, and another is looking to buy a home here. The top level is a master suite with walk through closet, laundry, and two office areas all under a cathedral ceiling. Sliding doors open up onto a balcony with seating, bistro table and loungers. Both bedrooms have TVs and the living area has a 60 inch with surround sound. Central air keeps the home comfortable year round, and there are gas stove heaters in the living area and the master suite upstairs. This is a gated community with private parking and ramps leading you to the walkways connecting the homes. The parking is a 3 minute walk to the house. Tie your boat to your floating deck right outside of your living area. The house is floating on HUGE logs and goes up and down as the river rises and falls. You will not even feel the movement. Comfortable bamboo floors are warm under your feet downstairs and plush carpet comfort you upstairs in the master suite. Both bathrooms, beautifully appointed, have kick heaters. You will enjoy preparing meals in this gourmet kitchen, with new stainless steel appliances, granite counters and is fully equipped for the discerning cook. There is even a pantry! Five minutes away, on Hayden Island, is Target, TJ Max, Ross, Best Buy, Burlington's, and many other stores and restaurants - BJ,s Restaurant and Bar, Stanford's Bar and Grill, Island Cafe, Hidden Bay Cafe, just to mention a few. The main floor is flooded with natural light in all the rooms. The picture window surrounded by plants assure in the outside giving shine to the original hardwood floors of the house. This floor has two main bedrooms with a full bathroom. The recently remodeled downstairs has a dedicated office, a third bedroom and a bonus space showcasing cushy carpet to cozy up and watch movies on those drizzly Portland evenings. The washer and dryer are also located downstairs in a separate space along with plenty of storage if needed.
